The Hypoxia & Tumorigenesis Unit conducts investigation of the mechanisms by which hypoxia contributes to tumorigenesis. Research focuses on hypoxia-inducible factor 1 (HIF1) and its role in tumor formation, progression and metastasis.

Current Research projects in the In Hypoxia & Tumorigenesis Section:

Molecular mechanisms of hypoxic response
Role of HIF in angiogenesis and tumorigenesis
HIF and cell proliferation
